HOW DOES IT WORK?

If we can reflect solar radiation away, it would never turn into heat to become a problem. When heat developes in a surface, it can be absorbed into the structure or, it can be radiated back into the atmosphere as infrared energy through “emittance.” When you have a surface with high solar reflection and high emittance, like Thermacoat very little heat gets into the structure to cause problems. Can reflect up to 90% radiant heat so that leaves only 15% of the solar heat problem

Thermacoat has 90% emittance, this means that 90% of the 15% absorbed radiation will be emitted back into the atmosphere as nir.

This leaves less than 2% of the solar energy to get into the structure to become a problem.
